Dark Soul Project (DSP) is a music formation from Baden, Austria. It was founded in November 2004 by Christoph Luhn (Guitar, Vocals), Lukas Mitter (Drums, Percussion) and Katrin Kandler (Vocals, Bass). The of DSP although was born quite a time before. At the end of July 2005 Klemens Tranker (Guitar) joined Dark Soul Project, bringing more versatility and possibilities to the sound of DSP.

DSP tries not to fit into any typical genre although the roots of their music can be found in the world of rock and metal. The topics of their songs are often kind of dark and melancholic.

C.L.: "Everybody has a dark side of his soul which is reflected by emotions like - for example - anger, hatred, desperation or agony. Topics relating to this feelings are often euphemised or ignored. But they are an important part of life. And we are just telling stories about such happenings."

With this concept in mind, DSP was hard working in the past. The results have paid off with the completion of their first record - "Requiescat in Pace" - released in March 2008. At the current state the band is already working at new material again to bring more of their messages to world.
